My 69 Sovereign has a couple of copper water pipes that appear to be split/cracked I am assuming from not draining properly in the winter
It seems like favorite product used to repair is the pex product.
Does anyone know the recommended size used to connect to the original plumbing?
Do they make an easy connector to connect the copper pipe to the pex tubing.
I believe they do. There is one brand called sharkbite that is a simple push in connector. From what I have read PEX plumbing is supposed to be more freeze resistant than other piping systems although I wouldn't take chances with any kind of plumbing if I knew a freeze was coming. They do say that PEX plumbing can't be exposed to sunlight so keep that in mind when installing it.
