Apartment Living: Making Small Apartments Seem Larger

Author Content Rental_Lease Plover, WI May 23, 2009 09:32 PM Post #6589120 Having lived in a tiny place for 5 years with a roommate, I learned a few tricks over the years for a small rental space: 1. Ditch the coffee table - opens up the living room 2. Either flat panel or no TV - give your old boxy thing away 3. Keep the windows uncovered - lighter, airy look 4. Laptop computer - desktops take up too much space I'm now a landlord, and watch my tenants make the same mistakes over and over with little rental places! If you have some more advice for small apartments, add 'em here! Well placed mirror Limit use of throw rugs - leave the floor's appearance 'unbroken' If you need a table in the livingroom - choose glass -gives an airy feeling and allows the eye to 'see through' it.
