A few months back I trashed two or three of these violets. I swear I thought them sick, undernourished and in some kind of self designed destructive mood. I may now know who so kindly gave me the leaf cuttings. :)

The article is great. I still think these violets need someone special to love them. If you do God will take notes. ]:o)

ROFLOL. I can see wondering "what the???" when the leaves started developing like that. That will teach you to keep labels on your leaf pots! ;-)

Yep...I actually disected one looking for the mutation, sport or possiblity two or more plants in the pot. When I did not find any of the above or any root damage I was really in a tizzy. We used to get weird things happening when we played with GA my first year of teaching. I keep none of that nonsense so nothing I had done seemed to be the problem.
