Flowers on girl foliage or variegated plants always seem like a bonus to me, nice if I get them, but I think the plant still looks great just with its interesting leaves. :-)
Sometimes you can help a plant to flower... Try repotting in fresh mix, add a little bit of fertilizer when you water (I use 1/4 strength water soluble fertilizer). Make sure they're getting enough light... if they have flowered before for you, then you know where they like to be.
