I would love to try a girly AV, or any other kind, for that matter!! I have bought enough African violets to start an AV flower shop--and they die. I have put them in different directional windows; I have purchased good fertilizer; I have had all types of watering systems. I really adore the beauties!! I haven't purchased a special light; maybe that's the problem.
Is anyone willing to take me under a wing and help me be successful in growing an AV?!

Fluorescent lights can help with blooming and best growth, but unless you live in a cave it's unlikely that your AVs are dying from lack of special lights.
