I purchased a NEW Kenmore Portable Dishwasher in Feb/09.
I wish I had never replaced my 18 yr old Kenmore with a newer model :-(

My dishes/cutlery do NOT wash without spots etc.

I am using GEL pacs. Electrasol (not really gel but a small packet) and Cascade (orange and white packets) .. my JET DRY dispenser is full, and STILL my dishes are SPOTTY and not clean.
I have hard water.

Any suggestions, before I go back to HAND washing, happily accepted :-)

I don't know about Kenmore but my new Bosch has an adjustment for the amount of JetDry that it uses. The instruction book shows how to turn up the JetDry if there are spots on the dishes. Maybe yours does too.

Good Luck!

Bummer.

I'm disappointed that my washer (or maybe it's my detergent) doesn't remove avocado from the dishes. Even the slightest trace of avocado will turn into a brown stain on the dish and it has to be washed by hand. It's kind of weird.

YOIKES .. that IS a mystery. Not many Avocados here in Northern Ontario .. so chances of that happening to me are gonna be rare :o)
Might have something to do with the enzymes in Avocado .. I know my bud in AZ puts lemon or lime juice on them after she peels them.

Took a clear glass bowl from the dishwasher last night, and, well all spotty !!!!
SOooooooooooo .. I am going to go and buy a BOTTLE of gel detergent. I would use powder, but, as I live in the country and have a septic tank .. gel detergent is supposed to be better.
