Never went through a purple princess stage myself. Wrong gender. If I had, I might come down on the side of violets' beauty, rather than their invasiveness. Here, however, have seen violets on the march, from one property to the next. Awfully pretty, but awfully determined. But Sharon, I love violets in your article!

Hi Sunny, thank you.
But just really must read today's article on ivy, and read all the comments that follow it. You will truly be laughing with it.

Thank you, I won't change my mind about violets, but I think I just changed it about English ivy!!

And really, I am so glad you didn't go through the purple princess stage! It's a good thing we didn't grow up together.
