Hello, we will be decorating a very small house in Colorado. I would like to do some southwest colors, but since the rooms are small I don't want to go overboard. The budget is smaller than the house. Any ideas on inexpensive furnishings and decorations? Thanks in advance

You can do touches of southwest just by the paint colors and the fabrics in the room, pillows, curtains, rugs.

Thanks for the response. I found a book at the library with huge decorated rooms, but i can see the backgrounds in it for paint colors. You are right, it shouldn't be too hard.

I agree, I think if you pick the right paint colors, then all you'll have to do is find a few southwestern inspired throw pillows or pieces of art and you'll have the look you want without having to spend a fortune.

I have a pretty wool blanket a friend gave me years go, I had forgotten about it, but it will be perfect.
