I had to move my potted plants to a temporary location recently and the place I chose was an old flower bed in my backyard (it gets lots of sun). Of course, fire ants decided to move in and set-up shop in one of my pepper pots during this time...
Luckily, the plant is in a black, plastic nursery pot so I plan on cutting the pot from top to bottom on opposite sides and repotting as best I can into a new pot (which will be close at hand with soil ready to go.) I'll probably get bit in the process, but what other options do I have? Is this ok to do? I think this is my California Wonder (can't recall exactly at the moment) and it is about 18" tall with over half-doz fruit in production.
