Plant and Tree Identification: unknown plant, am I a good one or a bad one?

Now it has grown and I am wondering what I have been watching. If it is a fast spreader, it is OK, but if it is non-native and invasive, NOT ok. Click the image for an enlarged view. A popular groundcover with nice fall coloration. It is rooting where it touches the ground. Not turning color -- may be evergreen. Growing moderately fast, and not being too thuggish. Any more ideas would be welcome.
