Larry,
I love your sense of humor. Your garden article made me chuckle and has inspired me to adopt a gnome and give it a home. Thanks for providing the "how to" and I also found the history tidbits interesting.

Growing up in Germany we believed in fairies and gnomes. Building dwellings for them was a wonderful past time that spawned much creativity throughout the garden without spending a penny! Besides building and laying out little houses out of bark and creating twig furniture we wove stories about our imaginary little creatures. Our parents fostered this fantasy world by putting tiny"gifts" out as a thank you for helping to build and maintain the miniature wonderworld. Occasionally we would even get a hand written note from an elf - of course written on a leaf. We had such a great "biodegradable" play ground!
Keep up this lovely imaginary world. Hopefully it will inspire others. Hilde

Thank you both for your comments and kind compliments. :-)

Alles Gute--Larry☼
