Hello, I'll soon be moving to an apartment in a high rise building that has few windows and not much natural light. UGGG...Anyway I'm used to gardening in the FL sunshine and houseplants that get moderate to a lot of sunlight. I love to have many things growing around me and want to start houseplants in this new environment. What are a list of houseplants that thrive on low to moderate light and a guide for growing them. Thanks! Soon to be highrise.

Pathos, Draceana, spider plants...I also have a fittonia growing in low light, apparently they are really fussy and like lots of light...mine is however doing fine, it's growing really slowly because of the low light but that doesn't bother me.

How about cactus'?

A few I can think of that do really well in low light situations:

Spathiphyllum (Peace Lily): http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/adv_search.php?searcher[com...

Aglaonema (Chinese Evergreen): http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/adv_search.php?searcher[com...

Pothos (Devil's Ivy): http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/adv_search.php?searcher[com...

Philodendron scadens (Heart leaf Philo): http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/736/

Sanseveira (Snake Plant): http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/adv_search.php?searcher[com...
