I was bitten by the Heuch-bug last summer. I have: Hollywood, Vesuvius, LimeRickey, Citronelle, and Brownies. They are planted in semi-shade and full shade. All survived the first winter! This is due to the great information that you post here. Thank you!
Here is my question: My heucheras' leaves are smaller than many that I see elsewhere. My plants seem healthy and happy. So I wonder if different varieties have different size leaves -- like hostas, perhaps? Or is it related to the location or the vigor of the individual plant? I would think not, as in one area of the garden, there is a old, old coral bell in a part-sunny location that is huge, as in spread, and blooms beautifully for weeks. Leaves are about the size of my newer guys.
I guess I have leaf-size envy! Anyway, if you've noticed that location or variety -- or feeding, maybe -- makes a difference, please tell me! Thanks!
