I have been successfully composting for some time now (on a small urban scale) but I want to try making compost tea. Having used up all my finished compost in the garden already, can I use bagged compost (retail sold) to make the tea? I have seen mushroom compost sold at various stores. Will it give me the benefits associated with compost tea? Thank you.
I just read an interesting article on making compost tea. It didn't mention using bagged compost, but thought the other information might be useful to you. I don't know if bagged compost would have the live organisms you would want for making tea.
Thanks for the link, Angie. I did find it useful. Just an update, I abandoned the idea of bagged compost tea and purchased a pail of worm castings and made a tea from that. The manufacturer reccomended that it would work. We shall see...Dave
