As you can see from the photo, there's a LOT going on in the front of my house! I don't like killing things, but those Philodendrons got to go. Replace with...plumeria! So, base upon my photo, is is good idea size-wise, can I fit one or 2 plants in that space, and what colors would you go with? I want a bit more privacy, and equal or bit higher height than the arica palms... (BTW, still brown after our brrr cold weather back in February? why are they still brown?)

Also wondering...creatively, what do you all do to protect your trees on those cooler nights? throw a blanket over the entire thing? tarp from the off-hurricane season?
