Just got a Dyson Ball (Animal) It really has good suction. Only bad thing is it's heavy if you had to carry it upstairs. You don't notice weight when you're pushing it around.

I just hope it lasts a long time.

I got the same vac (minus the 'animal' feature) last fall. So far so good, but I don't have to carry it up stairs. I'm with you - hope it lasts a long time. I love it so far. Very easy to use.
