What should i do with this young maple? the branches were so floppy they actually got tangled in each other permanently during the spring winds. i untangled them but its kind of spare. I bought it last year in a one gallon. it was very small almost just one stem and transplanted it into this larger pot 8-10 gal maybe. this year and last year it put out lots of growth. fast growing in height. its 4-5 ft tall now, having gained probably 3 feet since i bought it. should i prune back those top branches to get more fullness. i don't know what kind it is, there wasn't a tag. the leaves are a little tattered from the wind and sun i think. i think it might be too fast growing for a pot but everything i have is in a pot so : ?
