I have forgotten the proportions of alcohol and soap and water to use as an insecticide spray for potted plants. In the past I have spraayed this on a plant that has some insects , let it sit for a while and then washed it off with a spray of water but I have lost the directions I was given and need to know the proportions to use.

I always just eye it roughly. A spray bottle, couple drops of soap and a cup or so of alcohol. With mealie bugs I spray straight alcohol...keep the plant out of the sun though and rinse it off after a bit.
