So I found aphids on my baby bourbon rose that I just planted this spring. I googled and found this article:
Does the wait-and-see approach seem like good advice even on this young a plant? I have a million ladybugs trapped inside my house all winter, so where are they now that I need them? LOL :) Anyone have any other tips on dealing with aphids?

Apply soapy water in a spray bottle. Dish detergent works well.

No, I think they're some other kind of pest.

I found aphids today on my baby butterfly bush, and those &#*$ ladybugs were the first thing that came to mind. Not only did we have millions come into the house last fall, but we had hundreds appear inside this spring, every afternoon on the west facing patio door for weeks. And where are they now that I need them?? Deadbeats.
