I don't know too much at all about Japanese Maples, other than the fact that I really like the way they look. I would like to get one for a certain spot and would like help selecting one, if you all would be so kind.
I'm in Zone 5 and the area I'd like to plant this in would receive early morning and late afternoon sun. It would not receive any winter protection.
I'd prefer an upright shape or a narrow vase would work, as the area is not very wide where I'd like to plant it, right along side a 5' fence with a walkway on an angle on the other side. I'd only like it to grow around 15 high or so.
I have a Wine and Roses Weigelea about 10 feet directly to the side from where I'd like to plant the Japanese Maple so I'd like something to coordinate with it. There's a Ligularia Rocket with Hosta Aureomarginata that would be located just behind it.
Are there any options out there for me? Thanks...
