This is my first year growing anything and my backyard is nestled between another house and protected forest in the back, meaning light can be a bit finicky. However, my DH made a little bed up on the rocks for me to grow peppers. They seem to be enjoying the warmth the rocks provide and the 9 hours of good sun :)
And I put plant nannies in to save myself trips up and down the rocks with my watering can. The bed is about 10 feet up from the ground.
