I have an abundance of day lillys. (Tiger lilly?). Fiance calls them "ditch weed". Thought I read somewhere, probably organic gardening, that lillys are edible. See on Daves garden that they taste like asparagus. Looking foreward to trying. Thinking about taking to farmers market. Traded some little plants for brown eggs two saturdays ago. Found out [ quite by accident ] that each of the little underground "tubers" will grow another entire plant, given a season or three. Are the little root things (shoots ?) edible? I don't know enough about computers to post a picture. Mine grow over four feet tall, and have an orange flower. Have some little yellows also. Willing to trade for calandula, if you are near Nokomis farmers market.
