I picked this up this morning and it had no tag :>( I had one many years ago and for the life of me I cant remember its name. I do remember it needs lots of sun for the vibrant color, HELP ??? Poor thing was at the trash pile at the nursery...

Looks like a type of Tradescantia pallida.

We call it Moses in the basket. I have one.

mekos, yours isn't pallida or at least part of it isn't. the striped variegation in yours looks more like bermudensis variegata.

Mekos' plant is known as Tradescantia pallida 'Variegata'.

i knew there was a T. pallida 'Variegata' but his looked more like T. bv to me. i'll stand corrected.

The tag in the pot said Moses in the basket. That's all it said. But it has a real pretty pink to purple branch on it. That is all I know about it, and it's pretty common here and all the tags at different stores say the same thing.

I was guessing that with a bunch of baskets floating, the Pharaoh would have a hard time finding Moses. Apparently, Moses got smart when he was real young!

Just wanted to show how well she's grown in a few months. I'm hoping she will do well in the house when I have to bring her in next month. Any advice for me??

this is such a tough plant. you shouldn't have any problems no matter where you put it in your house. just don't water it too much! keep it away from pets. i doubt any animal would eat it but the sap is an irritant.
