I buy many daylilies "sight unseen" from a variety of mail order nurseries. The only guide for me is the listed information for a particular cultivar, and an internet or printed catalog picture. This is the case for Abiding Goddess which I ordered early this year. It arrived in April along with several others, and was planted the same day. Sometimes I am deeply disappointed at actually 'seeing' the 'real' thing compared to what the picture or nursery information boasted: Not this time; this is a gorgeous daylily even better than the picture! It even bloomed on three scapes, often with two or more blooms at the same time. (Hybridized by Dougherty 1985)
