Time to make a separate entry for this palm, since planting it out front (other mail order seedling was planted in p10 and is struggling to survive in blasting heat and poor protection from sunlight). This one should be better off with more reliable overhead light protection... but still could get fried next summer if not enough leaves overhead.

here it is planted in bed (hard to see, but toward front of 'bare' spot in planter, where the larger fern was removed last week).

amazing cold tolerance on this plant... look at the nearby DEAD C metallica, and defoliated Basselinia... yikes! Yet this plant looks 100%
