Another new plant added here in 2006. I am surprised they have done so well considering they were planted only May 6th. If this is any indication of their garden habits then they can only improve over the coming years. All of these have bloomed on short stems which anyone must expect from a new bulb: But the flower size certainly has not suffered.

I doubt if these stems reached 24" in height, but the blooms seem 'normal' in size compared to the stems. They are indeed beautiful.

This picture shows a 'head-on' look; unfortunately the pollen had started to scatter onto the petals. I try my best to get a picture before the insects stir up the pollen, and most of the time I'm successful.
