Initial Notes:

Got this 5 gal plant at nursery recently. Planted up front as future shade for fern grotto... not all that exotic a tree, but handles hot, blazing sun OK, and may keep all the other things up there from frying next summer, or the summer after (not sure how long it will take it to grow up that tall).

must be in shock, as it's been over a month, and hardly 1/2" of growth

just when little tree was starting to show signs of growing, melted by the freeze... guess I'll have to get something else to grow there.
