This is an especially rugged, yet delicate gypsophila. I have had two clumps of this planted in the same location (in poor sandy soil) for at least 10 years. It grows in a windswept, unprotected area of the garden where winter winds ravage the landscape in biting sub-freezing temperatures in January & February. Yet it seems to thrive on neglect and adversity. It blooms heavily in June, and sporadically throughout the summer & well into fall.
