I have grown this hardy perennial for many years. It grows well in full sun to light shade, and is very dependable. In Mid-to-late summer stems bear multitudes of tiny blue flowers in large 'sprays'. They are attractive and can be used as dried decorations in floral arrangements. A great choice for craft enthusiasts, or as an accent plant in the perennial border. Stems reach about 24" in height, while the large oblong, dark green leaves form around the base of the plant.

This is a difficult plant to photograph (for me) and pictures do not do justice to its real beauty. However, with that said I offer my humble best photographic efforts here. This picture is of a large spray of flowering stems.
