Initial Notes:

A very attractive deciduous plant with camellia like white flowers in the summer after most other trees have bloomed. The leaves are bright green and turn maroon in the fall. Only grows to about 25 ft tall. It prefers a moist acid soil with a little bit of shade and seems to have no insect problems. pH5-6, Zones (5-8)
