This is the final lily to plant in the fall of 2006. It is completely new to me and after seeing the gorgeous pictures in the Plant Files, it is a 'knockout'! I am a little concerned about its height; the package lists only 20"- yet the PF data states 24-36". So I will just have to wait and see next year what it will do.

As with the other new lilies this fall, I'm adding a package picture in the journal for reference next summer. Sure hope it turns out half as well as the picture!

Well, winter has come and gone; spring was dreadfully cold and snowy, and now July is here with sizzling heat! Rainfall has been scarce, and the lawn looks like a patchwork of brown/tan with alternating clumps of crabgrass. I was dubious as to the package claims of color (above entry), but the actual flower itself is much better. It is absolutely nothing like the package picture shown in the above entry, and is in fact quite different. Here are a couple of pictures from this morning, 7-7-07.
