I have used these perky garden favorites for years as shady spot container gardens. I am fond of the low-growing 'elfin' types as well as the intermediate sizes up to 12". This entry deals with a mixture of types and colors. They are easily grown as long as they are out of scorching sun, and are kept moderately watered. In the picture below I have a combination of colors growing in shaded pots.
