Fant's nursery. A very well know variety, Elberta is a large yellow freestone peach with sweet melting flesh. Known for canning, it is also good for fresh eating and cooking. It is a heavy producer and ripens in late July to early August. Zones 5-9a.Back to Copperbaron's Journal homepage.
