Seen periodically in backyard garden. ground eater, sits in river birch.
nested in pot (w/yucca) on patio about 3 summers ago, raised a number of baby birds, mother seen flying back and forth with food all day. babies heard "crying" for food and seen with open mouths when I approached for closer look. I "had" to cut my yardwork short to allow her to feed them. She had put them there in early spring before I started spending so much time out there. I found them one day because I noticed that every time I watered the patio plants a bird flew out.Back to scutler's Journal homepage.
