Seen Summer 06. Unbelievable light green, aqua stripes instead of white. grabbed camera. took as many pics as I could. color did not show well on pic. my impression of color was "beautiful", fascinating. Searched internet for info on snake with blue/green stripes in my area. Literature indicated that some garter snakes, referred to as turquoise variation, had been seen in the region. They are believed to be a cross between Eastern garter and black rat snake.
