First discovered in spring of 2004 along the dry-creek in the bottom of ravine in our woods. I didn't know what it was when I dug a few plants and it DID really irritate my skin for about 10 minutes. I potted a few and kept them on the front porch until I could think of a good wet place to plant them and within 2 weeks I had Red Admiral larvae on them ! I left them on the porch and raised several groups of Red Admirals and Eastern Commas.Back to DiOhio's Journal homepage.
