Half-hardy Annual
Height: 30 inches
Position: Full Sun
Ideal For: Bedding, Patio, Tubs
Germination: Easy
Aftercare: Easy
Description
Raised by a T&M Scottish customer. We are delighted to introduce such a refreshing break in colour. Each petal is evenly divided by a red and yellow stripe and this produces a thoroughly eye-catching effect. The bushy, uniform 60cm (2ft) plants produce loads of flowers, excellent for bedding and particularly good for cutting, lasting well in water. Occasional all yellow bloom produced through climate stress.
Sowing Instructions
Sow in spring at 21-24C (70-75F) in a good seed compost. Just cover the seed with compost and keep the soil damp but not wet. Germination usually takes 5-14 days.
Growing Instructions
When seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant and grow in cooler conditions. Gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions for 10-15 days before planting out after all risk of frost, 30cm (12in) apart in a sunny spot.
Aftercare Instructions
Approx. 10-15 days after planting out, pinch out the growing point at the top of the plant to make them bush out.
Kitchen Notes
The flowers taste of orange or lemon. Use in sandwiches, salads, seafood chowders and hot desserts.

ok, not sure what has survived and what hasn't out there- badly labeled to begin with, and my knowledge of leaves is pretty minimal
the sun got most of these anyway- the hardy ones lived (go nasturium, marigolds, geraniums and morning glories- well outside morning glories lived, inside ones all croaked)

ok, this is all of them- striped marvels have yet to bloom, and everyone else is not looking their best- they are either the wrong color or shape- so I'm thinking this is probably like a FFO type of thing and they will adjust....hopefully- if not I will never do marigold seeds again, it's not worth it when I can buy them cheap and they look fabulous
