Initial Notes:

Today was a gorgeous day by any gardener's standards. The temperature at 4:00 PM was 77 degrees with a light breeze. Today's jobs included caulking windows, washing screens & trimming the Chinese Junipers at the front of the house. Max sprayed herbicide (of some kind) in the field west of & adjacent to the house. This leaves me wondering if, and how much overspray I got in the yard and gardens! I realize farmers need to make a living, but I wonder if they EVER think of how these herbicides affect others. I'm almost sure I got some drifting from the spray, but I'll have to wait a few days to know for sure.

This was the scene early this morning as I made my rounds. It was before the trash man came because the trash is still bagged, sitting on the driveway.
