Hosta Gold Standard (Banyai 1976)
DESCRIPTION: This is a large hosta that is late to emerge and worth the wait. The heart-shaped leaves with a deep green margin change from chartreuse-green to bright golden yellow and fade into a parchment color. The leaves also have slight corrugation with maturity.
To enjoy the full spectrum of color changes, site this hosta in part shade.
The pale lavender flowers bloom on tall scapes in mid July to early August. This rapid grower works well as a showy specimen, edger or ground cover.
MATURE SIZE:22" high x 60" wide.
CULTURE: moist, humus-rich soil, partl shade for best color, zones 3-9.
Large hosta award winner!

Got this plant today from the hosta co-op Bleek coordinated. Great, healthy plant. Paid only $1.25 for it. I potted it up on a gallon pot.

This is what the hosta from the co-op looks like today. Growing by leaps and bounds. When I got it a few days ago it was bare root and not much growth.
