Initial Notes:

Interesting ornamental onion. Grows bulbs on the tips of the stalks, which eventually fall off and sprout. Does not flower. Both the bulbits and the main root bulb are edible. Usually used for green onions and the bulbets can be used for pickling. Is perennial in nature. It is called the Walking Onion because the top-heavy stalks will bend over and the bulbets will take root and 'walk' across the garden.
