Purchased from Schreiner some years ago. It is slow to multiply but is very beautiful. It is a Cayeaux iris.

In 2006, I re-did the bed. There wasn't much soil, but I added compost to expand the soil. I also added fertilzer of various types. Eau Vive is growing but did not bloom in 07. It did make a number of healthy looking fans though. It will probably bloom next year.

Bloomed first time since dividing in 06 today. Always one of my favorites.

Divided Aug. 23, 2009. Enriched soil with compost, alfalfa pellets and bone meal. There were 5 or 6 good rhizomes. This iris is in a rather shaded spot, but does pretty well anyhow.
