Entries and Updates

These are impatiens 'stardust'. I purposely selected some which were very leggy so I could root cuttings and save some money that way. I only bought 2 cell-packs (8 plants) of them, but wound up with 1 1/3 flats of them by the time I pinched and rooted the two leggy monsters. :) I hope they all root for me -- I've never had any trouble rooting impatiens, so I don't foresee any problems.

I forgot to update about them. They did great! I put the cuttings in some extra cell-packs I'd saved from other annuals and kept them on the shady side of our house for a couple weeks. I left a plastic cover on each flat, tilted so it was vented and did not touch the leaves, until the cuttings had rooted.
