off of BC's website:

Trumpet lilies are the MOST FRAGRANT of the lilies. Tall, up to 6 feet, downfacing trumpet blooms actually drip nectar. They bloom in mid July, full sun, avoid hot, reflective surfaces which may burn the blooms. They will bloom well in part shade, but staking may be needed to support the blooms. This is a seedling strain and some variability will occur, they may be pure white or white with pink reverse, varying amounts of pink may shade and fleck the inside of the petals, most have yellow centers. Trumpet lilies are very vigorous and easy, supposedly they do well in alkaline soils, they may need protection from late spring frost. They do not produce offsets or bulblets readily.

USDA Zones 5-10, colder climates with mulch

about 15 were planted along front of house- 3 groups of 3 were planted between rose bushes all were covered with wire, I'm sick of spending 25$ in lilies every year to feed the squirrels..let them eat the 20$ crocus...if they can find all 1000 of them ;>

future generations maybe

edited to say- not a dang bulblet out of this whole mess, and I gave them months- they all rotted with no sign of attempts at growth :p and I regularly culled the ones that were going- they just were duds

these better be taking a year off, or I ain't buying a single bulb more from BC- this makes year 2 of no shows- dunno if they are just too yummy for the squirrels to resist or what, but I do not have that kind of funding

(note- the 48 silver elegance + mix that passed on in spurts due to lack of nutrition, or too much water, or ?? in the annual corner where all the other bulbs are now and seem fine...these were all her smaller bulbs too, if I can get the same size from Bleek- just order from him- his seem to have a better spring return rate oddly enough, since i can smell how fresh hers are compared to his- dunno, *shrug* it's what works for my yard- quit wasting money)
