I had two of these and thought they were both dead, but we have been having a bit of rain lately ( 1/2 inch yesterday) and I noticed today a healthy little fan coming out the top of one of the pots. I was just ready to pronounce it dead!
Maybe there is hope for some of the others I didn't water enough. It turns out my best and only bloom so far on arilbreds was the one I accidentally planted with the tall bearded and which is watered 3 times per week. So much for their need for drought.
My drainage actually is better than I like for veggies, so it works nicely for arilbreds. Not bad for tall bearded either.

I actually have two of these. They died back this summer and I was sure they were dead. We had a lot of rain lately and they have popped out new shoots! Always nice to see a resurrection.
