It took me several years before I could get a pic of this dragonfly in order to ID it. I first saw them in the front field by the road.
You can see them early April to mid October.
They forage from the tops of weeds.

Finally I was able to get a pic of this shy dragonfly.
Seen here foraging from a blade of my fancy pale blue grass up front in the Ohio shield garden.
