We are building a screened porch from the garage to the kitchen door. Since the garage was added after the blueprints were drawn up, we didn't have anyway to get from the garage to the house without going outside through the snow and such. So, the idea of the screened porch was born. This will work well I think, and also provide us a place to enjoy the outdoors in the evening without being eaten by mosquitos.
