This serves as followup as to status of all 2005 SDB seedlings. All have been given away, and none remain in my gardens. As a hobbyist hybridizer it is impossible to keep all the seedlings I've started over the years. Garden space, relentless care, exhaustive personal time and expenses simply do not permit hanging on to them. Neighborhood gardeners from this area are all too happy to take them off my hands. Many have simply gone into the compost heap.
I plan to continue crosses on a limited basis, but at a much reduced scale; and being very selective in parentage. None of us know what the future holds, but the fun (I suppose) is in the prospect of some day realizing that "perfect" iris.

Here is one of the 2005 seedlings that I've given away. I had labeled it Seedling #05-11. It was (IMO) nice enough, but there are already a gazillion yellow SDB's on the market.
