Today, Friday, October 11, 2002, they moved the trailer house we had been living in out. We moved into the very unfinished house.

Truck waiting to hook on, bobcat digging dirt to get it out, and it's getting dark quickly! We didn't know they were going to move it this late in the day. It was 4:30 PM before they even got here, and it gets dark here around 6:30 this time of the year.

Poor Bummy!!!!! Sitting in the new, unfinished house by the patio doors watching "his" home go away. I was so sad for him.

Trying to get the house out. Troubles abound.

They had to try to get it out from the East, since that was the end with the hitch. But, when we put it in here 11 years ago, we had to dig away part of the slope to do it, and we have since landscaped to make it even deeper.

Moving, an inch at a time. More dirt work with the bobcat and it moves a bit. My poor perennials that I've worked so hard on are getting smashed! I'm praying that they survive and come back next spring so I can transplant them. Most of them should, but I'm so worried about the hosta's and ferns that were on the north side. This was their second year and they were doing so great! Then we bring in this mess.

Moved a tiny bit more!

When they move it up the slope, the west end of the trailer drags a bit, so they have to move more dirt.

....Going.....

....Gone!!!!!!!! It's moving down the section line road to it's new home. Sniff Sniff!!! Just as I took this shot, I realized that I was going to miss it. This is the home I raised my children in for the majority of their lives.
But, it's only going about 6 miles from here, and I know the people, so I can go visit it when I feel the need.
