Large, shiny, dark green, evergreen leaves offer a nice contrast to the pretty berries. Produces rather large, showy flowers for a Sarcococca, usually in late December and January, followed by the berries in late spring to summer. Size to 3 by 3 feet. All sarcococcas are slow growers, so patience is required. Likes a lightly shaded, cool spot in the garden. This is a superior shrub and should be more widely grown where hardy. Organically enriched, moist, well-drained soil. Back to Copperbaron's Journal homepage.
