Clusters of small single white flowers in May and early June. Bright red fruit, fall and winter. Fall color, scarlet-orange. Height to 25-30 ft. Spread: 20-25 ft. Very decorative tree for use as a specimen tree, screen, street plantings and naturalizing. Has short, but sharp thorns. Its dense, twiggy branches cut down on road noise and light glare.
